Harriet BLAIR was born in 1830 in Bennington, Bennington county, Vermont to
John and Elizabeth (WILTSE) BLAIR.
Valentine and Harriet were married in 1853 in New York state. At some point before 1857 they moved to Minnesota. Valentine and Harriet had 2 children: Mary Elizabeth on 4 Jun 1856 and
Harriet about 1857. The elder Harriet died 27 Apr 1857 in Winona county, Minnesota. Possibly as a result of childbirth. After that, Valentine moved back to New York with his 2 girls where he married Anna Eliza TYLER on 8 Oct 1859. Valentine and Anna had 7 children: William J in 1861, George about 1863, Emma about 1865, James about 1868, Jessie H in 1871 (female), and another with a name I don't know that died before 1892. Valentine died 14 Jan 1892 in St. Charles township, Winona county, Minnesota. Anna lived for about 9 more years and died in 1911. There are memorials on finagrave for
