Charles and Elizabeth OLDENBURG

Charles "Carl" OLDENBURG was born 15 Apr 1828 in Germany. While, I don't have his immigration year, I know that he was naturalized between 1853 and 1857.

Elizabeth "Eliza" was born 31 Dec 1830. Her maiden name was possibly DRAEGER.

I suspect that Carl and Eliza were married about 1851 in Germany and they  had 7 children that I know of. Christine born about 1853 in Canada West (according to Census records), Charles William "Carl" born in June 1858 in Minnesota, Maria born 25 Sep 1860 in Minnesota, William born Apr 1862 in Minnesota, Elizabeth "Eliza" and Anna born about 1864 in Minnesota, and Johanna born 17 Aug 1871 in Belle Plaine, Scott cty, MN. Johanna's birth record in the Minnesota, Births and Christenings, 1840-1980 database on FamilySearch.org has her name as Hannah, although she's called John on her first census record. I suspect that all of the children born in Minnesota were born in Scott county in the Belle Plaine area.

Carl died 2 Nov 1911 in Minnesota and Eliza died 23 Sep 1904 also in Minnesota. The couple were buried at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Scott county, Minnesota.
