William and Henrietta POTTSCHMIDT

William POTTSCHMIDT was born about 1819 in Germany. He married Henrietta, who was born about 1821 in Germany. The couple were married in Germany.

William and Henrietta had 7 children that I know of: Friedrich W (b. abt 1840), Wilhelmina (b. 25 Sep 1843), Herman (b. abt 1845), William F (b. Apr 1847), Lizzie (b. abt 1852), Hannah (b. abt 1855), and Charles. Friedrich and Wilhelmina were born in Prussia, Herman and William were born in Ohio, and Lizzie and Hannah were born in Indiana.

In 1845, the family immigrated from Schlage, Prussia (modern day Slawno, Poland) ot the US. They departed from Bremen on 1 Apr 1845 and arrived in New Orleans on 26 Nov 1845.

Frederich and Wilhelmina (POTTSCHMIDT) BLUME

Frederich BLUME was born in Aug 1827 in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany. He immigrated to the us in 1853 (census records). He was a member of Co. A, 1st Regiment, Minnesota Heavy Artillery between 1864 and 1865 from 1 pension papers I received from my grandma (his granddaughter.

Wilhelmina POTTSCHMIDT was born 25 Sep 1843 in Prussia (Germany) to William and Henrietta POTTSCHMIDT. She came to the US in 1846.

Frederich and Wilhelmina were married about 1861. Most likely in Minnesota. They had 10 children: William Fred about 1864, Elizabeth about 1866, Anna in Apr 1867, Henry Fred about 1868, Louis Fred "Fred" and Charles Fred on 1 Oct 1871, Emma about 1876, Edward Fred in Oct 1878, Minna in Jan 1882, and Ida in Apr 1886. I don't know when Frederich died other then it was before 5 Aug 1908, but Wilhelmina died 28 Oct 1936 in Jordan, Scott county, Minnesota. I also have a memorial for Wilhelmina at findagrave.
